A Red Deer man has been charged with multiple child exploitation offences following an investigation by the Lacombe Police Service.
Police say the investigation began on Aug. 3 after officers received a public tip. As a result, 44-year-old Kory Reay has been charged with:
-
Making child pornography available
-
Possession of child pornography
-

Reay was taken into custody without incident and later appeared before a Justice of the Peace. He has since been released on conditions, with his next court appearance scheduled for Aug. 27 in Red Deer Provincial Court.
“The Lacombe Police Service remains steadfast in our commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Chief Jason Dobirstein. “We extend our sincere thanks to ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit for their expertise and support throughout this investigation.”
