A man facing charges connected to a fatal rollover last November appeared in Moose Jaw provincial court on Monday.
Tyrel Cronan appeared in person with his lawyer, Merv Nidesh.
Nidesh said he was working with the Crown prosecutor’s office to move the case forward but requested an adjournment to Sept. 3.
Judge Daryl Rayner noted the charges date back to November and said he would like to see progress at the next appearance. He set that appearance for the defence to elect which court will hear the case.
According to police, on Nov. 8, 2024, they received a call from a complainant who said a Honda Civic was chasing them and driving erratically.
Officers located the vehicle on Main Street North, and a high-speed chase followed.
In the 1300 block of Main Street North, the vehicle struck a median and rolled over. A 31-year-old male passenger was killed in the incident.
Cronan is charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and impaired driving causing death.
He was previously released from remand on conditions.
