Lloydminster man dead after RCMP respond to EMS call

RCMP in Lloydminster say a 48-year-old man has died after officers responded to an early morning request for assistance from emergency medical services.

Police say they were called around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to the area of 44th Street and 66th Avenue, where the man, a Lloydminster resident, was in distress.

He was later pronounced dead.

The cause of death remains under investigation, and RCMP offered condolences to the man’s friends and family.
