Kindersley Provincial Court heard several cases on Aug. 12.
Brandon Wasylenchuk pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault. Due to the sensitive nature of the charge, no facts were read aloud in court. The Crown and defence presented a joint sentencing submission, which the judge accepted.
Wasylenchuk was sentenced to 14 months in a correctional facility, followed by 18 months of probation. Conditions include participation in personal and sexual-offence counselling, a no-contact order with the complainant, a 10-year firearm prohibition, registration on the national sex offender registry for 20 years, a $200 victim surcharge and 40 hours of community service.
Cole Marshall pleaded guilty to two charges of breaking & enter with intent, receiving 600 days in jail as well as paying a total of $40,712.91 in restitution between the two businesses.

Duane McKay took a plea deal to multiple charges involving assault and taking a motor vehicle without consent. He received 1 year of jail time followed by an 18 month probation order.
In other matters, Shane Harnish was found to have breached the curfew conditions of his conditional sentence order (CSO). The court extended the CSO and clarified the locations where he is permitted and prohibited during curfew hours.
Anton Roznov pleaded guilty to a speeding offence and was fined $300.
The matters involving Brandi Boultin were adjourned to Aug. 19 to allow the defence to consider sentencing proposals from the Crown.
