The City of Moose Jaw is advising residents that that zero block of Athabasca Street West will be temporary closed next week starting on Tuesday.
Crew will be replacing a service line between the First Avenue Northwest intersection and the north-south alley west of Main Street. The intersection and alley will remain open to north and south bound traffic.
There will be a partial closure of the north sidewalk on Athabasca Street West, but there will be no impact to transit stops or scheduling.
Also starting on Tuesday, there will be lane restrictions on King Crescent to complete Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) sewer lining work.
Full road closures and detours are not expected and no service disruptions are anticipated.
CIPP lining is an alternative to full pipe replacement for sanitary and storm sewer pipes to extend the life of the existing pipes.
This project is expected to be finished on Wednesday, weather permitting.
The public is reminded to obey all temporary signage and barricades, and use caution while in construction zones for everyone’s safety.
