Rosetown RCMP say they responded to a range of calls last week, from mischief and threats to unsafe driving in construction zones.

Police say the week began Aug. 8 with a report of a suspicious person in Rosetown, but patrols were unable to find the individual.

On Aug. 9, officers received a complaint of mischief to a motor vehicle in town, an investigation that remains ongoing. That same night, members also handled a breach-of-peace call, which required no further action.

Other calls included a driving complaint on Highway 7 on Aug. 11, which resulted in a warning to the driver, and a complaint of theft of road base in the RM of Milden on Aug. 12 that remains under investigation.

Later that day, RCMP responded to a call of uttering threats in Rosetown, which police deemed unfounded.

On Aug. 13, a firearms complaint in Rosetown turned out to involve a pellet gun. Police say the shooter was told to move the target and avoid aiming toward the road.

The following morning, Aug. 14, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways contacted RCMP about vehicles passing in a construction zone on Highway 15 near Sovereign.

Police say they issued 49 traffic-related charges during the reporting period, along with one 911 misdial and one false alarm.
