The Prairie Dirt Racing Association is set to return to southwest Saskatchewan this weekend for a wild round of races in conjunction with the inaugural Cowboys & Chrome event.

The Swift Current Motor Speedway will host the races with a full lineup, including the minis, hobbies, street stocks, modifieds, and a brand new kids modified class for ages eight to 14.

Terry Fehr, vice president of the Swift Current Stock Car Association, shared that the races kick off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, to allow time for Saturday night's cabaret.

"We have the PDRA Tour coming in, that's a four dirt track tour, and we see cars from all over Alberta and Saskatchewan show up for the races," he said. "We have the Cowboys & Chrome event on Saturday, and we're excited to have partnered up with Swift Current Ag & Ex on that."

Admission for the races is $15 for adults or $5 for children.

"We always like to see people coming out before the races," added Fehr. "Up to about an hour before the races, the pits are wide open and people can come in, look at the cars, talk to the drivers, and get a real close look at this stuff."
