Even though the  Marysburg Royals season came to an end earlier this week, players from the squad will be playing in Regina this weekend in the Men's National Baseball Championships.

Six members of the Royals have joined Team Saskatchewan: Curtis Strueby, Dylan Smith, Brent Puetz, Nick Anderson, Joel Bauml, and Tom Hooker.

Two players are joining the host Regina Trappers squad for weekend in Cole Bauml and Thomas Lessmeister

The National Championships got underway on Wednesday night with the Opening Ceremonies and Home Run Derby.

First game today will see Saskatchewan take on Quebec at 10:00 am at Currie Field.

At 7:00 pm the Regina Trappers meet Nova Scotia. 

On Friday, Saskatchewan will meet Ontario 2 at 10:00 am, with Regina facing Alberta at 1:00 pm.

Both teams will play a second game on Friday, Saskatchewan will meet New Brunswick at 4:00 pm and Regina takes on Manitoba at 7:00 pm. 

To wrap up the round robin on Saturday, Saskatchewan meets British Columbia at Optimist Park at 9:00 and Regina battles Ontario.

Quarterfinals are on Saturday.

Semifinals, and medal games on Sunday at Currie Field.
