Swift Current's Kai Foster made 10 saves and posted a shutout Thursday afternoon, helping Team Saskatchewan to a perfect record in pool play at the Canada Summer Games in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Saskatchewan knocked off host Newfoundland & Labrador 7-0 to finish atop of Pool A at 4-0.

Foster and Saskatchewan will play 2-2 British Columbia in the quarterfinals on Friday afternoon. 

Volleyball

Lucky Lake's Kash Meyers and Team Saskatchewan dropped its first match of the Canada Summer Games on Thursday afternoon

Saskatchewan's comeback bid against British Columbia in the final pool play game came up short, as they lost 28-26, 26-24, 16-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Meyers and Saskatchewan finished second in Pool A at 2-1 and will face Manitoba in the quarterfinals on Friday evening.
