The Bragg Creek wastewater system has returned to normal operating levels, following a period of high inflows that put significant strain on the system.
“Thanks to the community’s water conservation efforts, ongoing system monitoring, and the hard work of our crews, the system has had the time it needed to fully recover,” states a Rocky View County update on what's been a challenging situation for the hamlet.
Residents are being asked to increase water use gradually to avoid sudden surges on the system.
Officials thanked the public for their patience and commitment to responsible water use during the high water conditions.

Earlier this month, the system had been overwhelmed by unusually high groundwater levels, prompting authorities to ask residents to limit laundry, shorten showers, and ensure sump pumps did not discharge into the wastewater system. By mid-August, officials reported that the situation was improving, though still dependent on weather conditions.
The return to normal operations marks the end of a period of strain that lasted for several weeks.
