Drag Racing revs up again on Saturday and Sunday at the Swift Current Airport.
The Swift Current Drag Racing Association is looking forward to two days of high-octane full-power runs up the drag strip, with hopefully no red lights off the start line or any breakouts on the clock.
Don Fornes, announcer at the SCDRA trailer during the drag races, invites everyone out for the races, which start at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
"You're going to see everything from pure stock street cars out there, right on up to the 500, 600, and even 700-plus-horsepower drag racing specialty cars," said Fornes.
Depending on how things pan out, there can be anywhere from 75 to 130 cars at an SCDRA drag weekend.
Tickets for general admission are just $10 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in for free.
If anyone would like to volunteer at the races, there is still room for help. Reach out to the SCDRA on Facebook, or contact a member to see where they could use a helping hand.
