Those looking for something to do this weekend will have limitless choices with a number of events taking place today.
You can start of the day with breakfast at the Eagles as part of the Rusty Cage Fun taking place from 8am-10am. The bikes will then be heading downtown before traveling to Morse, Hodgeville, Kincaid and Cadillac. Everyone is again invited to join them for a BBQ upon their return to town around 3pm again at the Eagles.
Next from 11am - 1pm at Fairview pool residents can check out some friendly competition between some local lifeguards and firefighters. The event will see three firefighter challenges and three lifeguard challenges, with the outcome decided by a tiebreaker obstacle course. A BBQ will also be taking place available by donation with the proceeds going towards the Southwest Facility Foundation.
Cowboys and Chrome will also be taking place at Kinetic Park throughout the day today. A Show & Shine will kick off the event from 1:00 pm -5:00 pm along with some BRC Bull Riding at 2:00 pm. Stock Car Races will begin at 5:00 pm and the evening will finish off with a cabaret begining at 9: 00pm. Food Trucks will also be available on site all day.
For those auto enthusiasts, they can check out the Swift Current Drag Races taking place throughout the day Saturday and Sunday at the Swift Current Airport. Tickets for general admission are just $10 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in for free
Finally, wrap up your weekend on Sunday by attending Dorie’s House for a Community Garage Sale and Barbecue. The event will be running from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
