Meet Mackay and Bundaberg, two kittens with names as fun as their personalities. These five-month-old cuties are ready to find their forever homes.

“They came into the shelter not being socialized,” says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Humane Society. “They were strays for the first chunk of their lives, but we’ve worked on their socialization and now they’re ready for adoption.”

McKay and Bundaberg didn’t always know people could be friends. At first, humans seemed scary, but now they’ve learned that people also mean treats and snuggles.

“They’ve come such a long way,” says Roy. “They’ve realized people mean yummy treats and are learning the company of humans isn’t all too bad.”

These kittens would love a home with another cat who can show them the ropes. A patient family will help them blossom into even more confident companions.

“They would do so well with another cat they can look up to and learn from.”

Visiting them is as simple as stopping by the shelter. “You just come right into the shelter and meet the cats,” says Roy. “We even have a kitten room right off to the right-hand side of our reception desk.”

If you’ve fallen for Mackay and Bundaberg, fill out the adoption form and email it to adoption@cochranehumane.ca.
