Adorable Adoptables: Jenny wants to be your best friend

Run, Forrest! Run! Jenny told Forrest to run and so should you, straight to the Cochrane Humane Society, to meet our latest Adorable Adoptable.

Jenny may be shy at first, but with a bit of love and a lot of treats she will quickly become your best friend.

"She's a lovely girl," says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Humane Society. "We worked on her confidence building and she is ready to go."

Adorable Adoptables: Mackay and Bundaberg steal the spotlight

Meet Mackay and Bundaberg, two kittens with names as fun as their personalities. These five-month-old cuties are ready to find their forever homes.

“They came into the shelter not being socialized,” says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Humane Society. “They were strays for the first chunk of their lives, but we’ve worked on their socialization and now they’re ready for adoption.”

Adorable Adoptables: Chili Pepper brings the spice to your life

This week’s Adorable Adoptables star is turning up the heat. Meet Chili Pepper, the handsome long-haired boy with a heart as warm as his name.

Chili Pepper came to the shelter a little unsure about people, but after some time in foster care, he’s learning that humans can be pretty great.

“He’s got a pretty good amount of hair,” says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Humane Society.

Adorable Adoptables: Kirk's big heart needs a home

This week’s Adorable Adoptables spotlight is on Kirk, a once-timid pup who’s transformed into a playful and loyal friend.

Kirk arrived at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society shy and unsure, but he’s made incredible progress.

“He was really a scared little guy when he first came to the shelter,” says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Humane Society. “It took him a while to warm up, but with our help and lots of patience and love, he’s finally warming up.”

Adorable Adoptables: Pancakes is ready to flip your world!

This week's Adorable Adoptables feature is as sweet as breakfast and twice as fun. Meet Pancakes, the energetic pup with a love for snacks and snuggles.

“She’s one and a half years old, a mixed breed, and a beautiful girl who loves adventuring,” says Robyn Roy, communications coordinator with the Cochrane & Area Humane Society.

Update: Tornado watch in effect for: Rocky View County, including Airdrie and Crossfield

A tornado watch issued earlier Wednesday evening for Rocky View County, including Airdrie and Crossfield, was lifted just before 8 p.m., according to Environment Canada.

The watch had been issued at 5:25 p.m., when the agency warned that “conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes.” Forecasters also noted the potential for strong winds, large hail and heavy rainfall.

She is good with dogs, cats and kids, house trained and trustworthy in home.

Bella would do best being adopted with her housemate Jackson, however will be separated for the best outcome of them both.

5 years old, will be nuetered, vaccines updated.

He is good with dogs, kids and cats in the home- but would chase a cat at large.

Housetrained and trustworthy in home.

Jackson will do best moving with his housemate Bella, however he would be separated if we cannot move them together.
