Unity RCMP say they responded to a wide range of calls between Aug. 26 and Sept. 1, including reports of assaults, harassment, thefts and a vehicle collision with a moose.

A 37-year-old man from Camrose, Alta., is facing charges of break and enter with intent, theft of a vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and operation while prohibited after police responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle.

A 29-year-old woman from Unity has also been charged with assault with a weapon in connection with a separate complaint.

Officers are investigating reports of unsafe storage of firearms, sexual assault and fuel theft from a local gas station. They also issued a verbal warning after receiving a complaint of criminal harassment.

Other calls included two requests to keep the peace while property was retrieved from a residence, a wellbeing check, a breach of peace complaint, four traffic complaints, two false alarms and one false 911 call.
