The Swift Current Comp Ardens open their 2025 high school soccer season on the road this weekend.
They're in Weyburn for matches with the host team and Yorkton.
Swift Current has a young roster this season with only two Grade 12s in their lineup.
"We're definitely really young, probably the youngest we've been in my 20 years," said Ardens Head Coach Steven Mah." But I think we got a pretty good group, pretty athletic and pretty good attitudes ready to go into the season."
The first weekend will be an opportunity to test things out and get their group acclimatized to Ardens soccer.
"We'll have some new players that'll have to adapt to a new system and a new style of play," Mah said. "I think this first weekend will definitely be just seeing where we're at and trying to get comfortable and stuff, and then we can kind of make adjustments after that. I think we're pretty confident that we'll be a good, solid team this year."
