Eight volunteers from the Herbert Fire Department were dispatched to a pasture fire at 5:30 p.m. Monday, northwest of the town of Herbert.
According to a Facebook post from the department, the water truck from the RM of Excelsior, along with members of the Main Centre Hutterite colony, were able to help control and extinguish the fire.
One volunteer suffered a minor injury.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
