Update - September 11, 9:11 a.m.:

The Highway Hotline has been updated to reflect that this work will be ongoing until September 25, 2025.

Original Story : September 10, 7:11 a.m.:

A paving project on the Trans-Canada Highway is ending today, if everything goes according to plan.

For eight days, drivers have had to experience anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes of delays as crews have been micro-resurfacing the westbound lanes near Maple Creek and Piapot.

The project is expected to wrap up at 5 p.m. However, while the work is still taking place, delays will still be in effect, with speeds reduced to 60 kilometres per hour.

For updates, or to see if the project ends up running longer, check the Highway Hotline. Motorists can use the Highway Hotline to plan for any detours, delays, or dangers on Saskatchewan roadways.
