Preseason, ho-hum? Think again.
The exhibition season has already delivered plenty of action for the Cochrane Generals, and it’s expected to crank up to 11 tonight when the Airdrie Thunder visit. Admission is just $5, and the night also marks the opening of the Gens’ beer gardens.
Last year’s preseason clash between the two teams was a fast-paced, hard-hitting affair, with rookie Nathan Sheriffs lifting Cochrane to a 4-3 overtime win.
The Gens are looking to rebound after back-to-back losses to the Mountainview Colts, while the Thunder come off a split against the Strathmore Wheatland Kings. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
