A local family is seeing an incredible amount of support as they work toward raising funds for their daughter Aubrey’s upcoming surgery. Kimberly shared that the family’s recent bottle drive on September 6 was a big success, with more than 20 people donating bottles and cans. The drive brought in $840, adding to the growing total needed to cover surgery and therapy costs.

Aubrey is scheduled for surgery on November 11 in New Jersey. After the procedure, the family will return home briefly before heading to Saskatoon for two weeks of therapy. They will then make another trip back to the United States to pick up Aubrey’s braces. Kimberly explained that the travel, surgery, and follow-up care all add to the expenses, with the total fundraising goal set at $90,000. So far, the family has raised $47,000.

In addition to the recent bottle drive, the family has held five fundraisers this year. They are continuing with a virtual bottle drive under the group name Help Aubrey Walk, and they also have a GoFundMe page where people can donate directly.

Kimberly said the community’s response has been overwhelming. “We are very, very thankful,” she noted, adding that every contribution helps bring them closer to their goal. With the support of Estevan and surrounding areas, the family feels encouraged as they prepare for the next steps in Aubrey’s journey.
