Three Swift Current bands took to the stage at the Lyric Theatre over the weekend.
Rib Rash, Tombstone Whiskey, and Margaret’s Medicine performed as part of the ‘Doctor Prescribes’ show.
Travis Steinley, frontman for Margaret’s Medicine, was excited to see a large turnout for the show.
“The night went very well,” said Steinley. “There wasn’t a seat left to be sat in.”
Steinley said he appreciated sharing the stage with local talent and hopes to continue performing in the southwest.
He says the band is hoping to start writing original material soon.
“We’ve only had Braden [Wengel] in our band for six months, so he’s going to bring some young energy and some different ideas to writing.”
Steinley appreciates the support from fans, and especially the folks at the Lyric Theatre
“Without venues like the Lyric, we're actually quite limited for live music, especially rock in this town,” he says. “So it is really nice to have a place to do that.”
