Incumbent Mayor Tanya Thorn is no longer the only candidate running for mayor of Okotoks.
Colin Langenberger, who originally registered as a council candidate, is now the second mayoral candidate.
On his campaign website, Langenberger says he entered the race "because I think it’s important that people have a choice. Right now, Mayor Tanya Thorn is running unopposed, and I believe voters should always have options."
He lists dialing back the town’s growth and freezing property taxes among his priorities.
Meanwhile, the list of council candidates has grown to 16 as of Sept. 15.
The deadline to register as a candidate is Sept. 22, with the election scheduled for Oct. 20.
