Suspect identified in Midale police impersonation

The Weyburn RCMP has identified the suspect in the police impersonation near Midale on Saturday.

Someone driving on a grid road near Midale saw a vehicle come up behind them displaying flashing blue and red emergency lights. Both vehicles slowed before the suspect vehicle fled.

The RCMP is unable to provide identifying details about the suspect under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, as they are a youth. The investigation is still ongoing, and charges have not formally been laid. 

The Weyburn RCMP do not believe there is any concern for public safety associated with the incident, nor do investigators believe there is any connection to the suspicious death near Weyburn on September 12th.
