LAWRENCE
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Edward Lawrence, who passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the age of 64 years. Don was born on June 22nd, 1961, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He grew up in a large family, which instilled values of hard work and resilience, along with a generous and compassionate spirit. Don’s life was marked by his generosity, strength, and profound love for his family and friends. He was not one to show his emotions, but he definitely showed his loving heart through acts of kindness.
Don was passionate about his Roughriders and Bruins and loved to spend time watching games with others. He grew up around construction, and he became the ultimate “Mr. Fix It”. There wasn’t any problem too big to solve. He spent many years not only working on projects himself but teaching others how to work with tools and complete renovations on their own. This made him very proud. He had a wonderful sense of humour and the gift of gab. Don loved to spend time laughing and telling stories. He spent many hours during his last few months connecting with the people he cared about.
He was predeceased by his father, Tom; mother, Margret; brothers: Tom, Paul, Bobby, and Kirby; sisters: Cathy, Ann, and Susan; and brother-in-law, Bud. Don is survived by many loving family members and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Rininsland and all the nurses, and care aides with home care and the palliative team, for their care and kindness.
A Private Family Celebration will be held to honour Don. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank, 270 Fairford St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1V6. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
