On the second anniversary of the beginning of the global pandemic, the numbers in Alberta on Friday, March 11 are as follows:

  • There were 473 new lab-confirmed tested cases reported in the past 24 hours.
  • Alberta is reporting 6,545 lab-confirmed active cases.
  • There are currently 1,045 people in hospital with 74 in ICU.
  • To date, 8,528,703 doses of the COVID vaccine have been administered in the province. 
  • Sadly, another 11 deaths have been reported bringing the total deaths in the province to 4,003.
  • AHS is reporting that Cochrane has 34 active COVID-19 cases and Rocky View County is reporting 55 cases.
