Tom Laing Park has now been the scene of two no-hitters since 2019 in WCBL play. For the Weyburn Beavers, unfortunately, this time they were on the receiving end of the pitching performance Saturday night.

Sylvan Lake Gulls pitcher Ty Boudreau would go the distance, striking out 12 and allowing four baserunners, all walks, in a 16-0 win for the Gulls. Boudreau managed to keep the Beavers' bats at bay, forcing the nineteen batters who put the ball into play to either fly out or ground out.

Meanwhile, the Beavers found themselves behind early, giving up five runs in the first inning, and then chasing after that. Starting pitcher Mason Chamberlain would go 4 2/3 innings, striking out three, but surrendering nine runs on 13 hits. John Nicholson would give up two more runs in 2 1/3 innings, and Ben Franz was tagged for five runs.

The Beavers will be taking to the road Sunday, heading to Regina for a matchup with the Regina Red Sox.
