Marlin Chase Francis
May 11, 2002, to June 21, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marlin Chase Francis on June 21, 2022.
We were deeply blessed to have had Marlin in our lives for twenty years. He was a gentle soul with a mischievous nature who loved joking around with his family. He loved his family deeply and especially cherished the time spent with his nephews Aiden and Hudson.
Marlin struggled with mental illness for the past few years and unfortunately was not able to overcome the demons that tortured him. While his death has left a deep hole in our hearts, we know that he is no longer suffering and is soaring free with no more pain.
Marlin leaves to mourn his passing, his parents Keith and Marianne Woods, his siblings Charlotte (Eric), Wayne, Dylan, Nicole (Brett), Amy (Cole), Marnia and Donovan, and his grandparents Faron Woods and Beatrice Francis, his nephews Aiden and Hudson Francis and many other extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by grandparents Allan and Mavis Hoehn, great grandparents George and Barbara Woods, and Walter and Flora Francis.
Traditional Dakota wake will be held at Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at 4:30 pm, June 28th. Service to follow on Wednesday, June 29th at 12:00 pm. Interment at Woods-Myran Cemetery, Long Plain First Nation.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
