After months of cleaning up vandalism around the community, the Portage la Prairie Community Revitalization Corporation's (PCRC) Green Team's summer students are preparing for the off-season.
PCRC cultural connector Megan Romphf says that their Green Team's summer students, Anthony and Adam, are in their last week of service.
"Part of what they do is the graffiti cleanup and removal around town. So, anybody who has been wanting that graffiti cleaned up or noticed that there was any tagging or different things on buildings or doors or anywhere really, they can just give us a call, and we can get them sent out to clean that up."
Romphf explains that it feels really good to help the community look more friendly.
"Keeping the community clean is important because the aesthetics are obviously what they are, but it just makes people feel a little bit safer, and it makes them feel like their community is something that everybody takes pride in."
Romphf adds you can reach the PCRC main line at 204-240-7272, and you will be put on the database of graffiti needing to be cleaned up.
