The Portage Terriers have made five different moves ahead of week two of the MJHL season.
The team acquired forward Roman Cherniak from the Sherwood Park Crusaders and defenceman Parker Scherr from the Olds Grizzlys, both in exchange for future considerations.
The Dogs also shipped defenceman Ashton Fishley to the Swan Valley Stampeders and forward Josh Lehto to the Virden Oil Capitals both in exchange for future considerations.
On top of the four trades, forward Hayden Chaloner has also been reassigned to the squad after taking part in the preseason for the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Cherniak put up four points in 16 AJHL games last season and Scherr totalled seven points in 39 contests in 2021-22.
Chaloner played just two games with the Terriers last season and scored a goal and dished out an assist in that short span. The 17-year-old also put up two assists in seven games with the Wheat Kings last year.
Fishley spent 50 games in Portage last year and ends his Terrier career with 12 total points. Lehto played just one game in the MJHL and found the back of the net.
The Terriers will be back on home ice on Saturday against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.
