Ivy worked for many years at the Mayfair Hotel and the Bowling Alley/Bus Depot. She made many friends while working. Ivy worked very hard all her life and was very proud of her work ethic and would happily tell you off if she thought you were lazy. Ivy moved to St. Claude in 2017 and lived there until she fell ill.

Ivy was fiercely independent and became very frustrated in her later years having to rely on other people for some of her daily needs. She continued to work at trying to regain her strength and continued to make plans right until the end.

Ivy was well known for her quick wit, honesty and sense of humor. Everyone always remembers their first meeting with Ivy. If you were lucky enough to become someone, she trusted she might give you a nickname some of them being very colorful. Ivy was also a very caring person and was always thoughtful wanting to buy gifts for everyone. This was her Love language.

Ivy loved her cats she would stock up enough food and treats which she would share with all the neighborhood strays.  She also loved everyone else's cats and dogs this was the way to Ivy’s heart! Ivy also had a love for birds and fed all the birds in St. Claude.
