Nearly 100 young hockey players from across the province now have the opportunity to take the next step.
The 2023 Manitoba Junior Hockey League Draft went down yesterday in Winnipeg. The Portage Terriers made seven selections in the eight-round draft.
Reece Gault, Defenceman (Round 1, Pick 13) - The RINK Hockey Academy product scored eight goals and added 20 assists in 24 games at the Canadian Sport School Hockey League’s (CSSHL) U16 level. The Oakbank native put up a point per game in the playoffs, while also picking up five assists in ten games at the U18 level.

Finley Titterson, Defenceman (Round 2, Pick 27) - The Winnipegger played last season with College Beliveau in the Canadian High School Hockey (CAHS), where he totalled 23 points in 24 games with 77 penalty minutes. In the 2021-22 campaign, Titterson played for the U15 AAA Winnipeg Bruins and ended the season with 24 points and 110 penalty minutes. He also had eight points in just four playoff games for the Bruins.
Jack Bilous, Forward (Round 4, Pick 56) - The second member of RINK Hockey Academy U16 selected by the Terriers showed off his passing prowess last season. Bilous ended the year with seven goals and 30 assists in 35 games. The Winnipeg product also had six points in five playoff games.

Carter Bilous, Defenceman (Round 5, Pick 69) - He spent last year playing against players up to two years older than him at the U18 AAA level. Bilous put up 6 points in 44 games for the U18 Winnipeg Wild in 2022-23. He had one assist in twelve playoff games to help the Wild capture their league championship.
Gage Parnell, Defenceman (Round 6, Pick 83) - Parnell picked up 14 points in 24 games in the CAHS last season as a member of the Sturgeon Heights Huskies.
Peyton Kettles, Defenceman (Round 7, Pick 88) - Kettles spent this past season playing with RINK Hockey Academy U18 as a 15-year-old. The Winnipeg-born blueliner finished the year with 16 points in 22 games. He also played two WHL games with the Swift Current Broncos.
Brady Low, Goaltender (Round 8, Pick 93) - The last pick in the MJHL draft only has one loss in the last two regular seasons with a combined record of 32-0-1. Low had a 1.64 goals-against-average for RINK Hockey Academy U16 in 2022-23.
