The Portage Terriers are bidding farewell to eight players from the 2022-23 campaign but this season wasn't the end of the line for all of them. Three graduating Terriers committed to universities across the country this morning.
Portage's own Kian Calder will be taking a voyage down Highway #1 for next season as he will play for the University of Manitoba (U of M) Bisons. The Terrier captain put up four goals and two assists at the Centennial Cup and finished his career in Portage with 50 points in 72 games. Calder will be joining former Terrier defenceman Parker Malchuk on the Bisons' roster. The U of M had a record of 8-20-0 in the 2022-23 campaign.

Forward Mike Stubbs is heading to the Maritimes to play for the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). The Thunder Bay product was acquired by the Terriers midway through the season and put up over a point-per-game in the regular season with the Dogs. Stubbs led the Terriers with eight playoff goals and had three points in the Centennial Cup. UPEI had a record of 17-13 in the USPORTS league this season.
