A large thunderstorm that moved through southeastern Manitoba on Thursday afternoon spawned funnel clouds.
Tornado warnings were issued for areas southeast of Winnipeg on Thursday, including Niverville and Steinbach.
Funnel clouds were spotted Thursday afternoon in the Kleefeld area. So far, there have been no reports of the funnel clouds actually touching down or causing any damage.
The same weather system resulted in heavy downpours in the City of Steinbach. It left some streets flooded in the late afternoon.
Wet weather may continue throughout Friday and Saturday for areas of southern Manitoba including the City of Winnipeg.
