Last night kicked off a new month and another Taillight Tuesday at the Living Sky Casino.
The Rogue Cruisers are primed for another fun month of weekly car meets, and will once again be hosting the Silver Wings Access Van Inc. as the beneficiary for August.
Every Tuesday, the event opens up in the parking lot at Living Sky Casino. It is free to enter, and free to walk around. The goal is to have folks come out and socialize with other car enthusiasts.
For John Chelew, the owner of a 2016 Z06 Corvette, it's a highlight of his week.
"What else can you do on a Tuesday night," asked Chelew. "It's getting better every week and the more that come, the better. So bring your car no matter what it is, as long as you love it, bring it."
His Corvette is one of the more eye-catching pieces at the show each week. Many love to comment on the colour, and taking in the sharp angles of the body work. While most cars at the show are older, his is one of the most modearn on the block.
"We started looking for one in 2014 and ended up with this in 2016," shared Chelew. "It's one of only 550 in Canada on this model."
Others like Aaron Mathews, who came with his mother in their yellow Chevrolet, came out for the people and their stories.
"I like the people," said Mathews. "But I do like our truck the best."
The night saw a plethora of different eras, makes, and models. Custom work was common, and bone stock was just as valued. Time and time again, Rogue Cruisers have stressed that this is an event for anyone. No matter what kind of car you have, so long as you are proud of it, you can enter it into the show. Even if you are just looking to get into the car culture scene, there are plenty of people who would be happy to share their knowledge and chat with anyone interested in listening.
The event always starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs until dusk.
