Mentalist and magician Jeff Newman joined Daniel on SUN 102 to talk about his upcoming performance in Estevan — the final show in this season’s Estevan Concert Series, presented by the Estevan Arts Council.

Jeff’s mind-bending performance will take place Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at 7:30 PM in the Elecs Theatre at the Estevan Comprehensive School. His show promises a mix of magic, psychology, and mystery that has wowed audiences across Canada and around the world.

Here are the nominees in each category

A former Estevan Bruins player appeared in Regina Provincial Court on April 17 to face several charges.

Mason Strutt has been charged with uttering threats, possession of a dangerous weapon, assault, and two counts of animal cruelty.

He appeared by video in Regina Provincial Court and has been released from custody. His matters have been adjourned to May 15 at 9:30 a.m.

No charges have been proven in court.

A former Estevan Bruins player is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court tomorrow to face several charges.

Winsome Kind, the talented husband and wife duo of Leora Joy Perrie and Scott Perrie, have just released their latest album, Mantras For A Magical Life. The album, released on April 4, 2025, offers a collection of nine uplifting tracks designed to inspire and promote mindfulness through positive affirmations and soothing melodies.

The annual Wash-A-Thon is back this April at Suds Zone in Estevan, raising money in support of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation and its mission to bring an MRI machine to the community.

Parenting is never dull—especially with ten kids. Estevan author Jason Weening captures the humour and chaos of fatherhood in his latest book, Yes, Dear... I’m Watching Them: Stories of Injury and Adventure from the Front Lines of Dadhood. He joined the SUN 102 morning show to talk about the inspiration behind the book and the wild moments that come with raising a big family. Check out the full interview below.
