Russia seriously violates religious freedom in the land it illegally occupies in Ukraine, Forum 18 said in a new report.
Torturing and killing pastors and priests, prosecuting residents for exercising religious freedom, banning worship and entire religious communities, closing churches, prosecuting missionaries and banning Scripture as extremist literature are among the most egregious atrocities Forum 18 cited in its March religious freedom survey of occupied Ukraine.
Transit passengers restrain suspect after violent assault on bus
A 22-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting multiple passengers aboard a Winnipeg Transit bus on Monday afternoon.
According to a release from the Winnipeg Police Service, officers from the Central District responded to a report of an assault near Balmoral Street and Sargent Avenue at approximately 4 p.m. on March 10.
Police say a woman, who appeared to be intoxicated and behaving aggressively, confronted two passengers at random. During the altercation, she pushed one passenger and elbowed another—a woman in her 20s—in the face.
Winnipeg firefighters rescue 6 people in morning apartment blaze, 3 in hospital
Three people are in hospital following a fire early Tuesday morning in the city's North End.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to an apartment complex on Redwood Avenue near Salter Street shortly after 7:30 a.m.
Smoke was coming from the building when crews arrived and firefighters were made aware that several people were trapped in the complex.
Six residents were rescued through a window, as there was no other way for them to leave the building safely.
The fire was declared under control about half an hour later.
Trump says Canada will pay 'financial price' as he doubles tariffs on steel, aluminum
U.S. President Donald Trump said Canada will pay a "financial price" after vowing Tuesday to double the tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum imports in response to Ontario's surcharge on electricity exports to the United States.
"They will pay a financial price for this so big that it will be read about in History Books for many years to come!" Trump posted on social media.

A memorial service for Helen Guenther nee Giesbrecht will be held Friday, March 14th at 2pm at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with burial prior to the service at noon at Rudnerweide Cemetery.

The funeral service for Elizabeth (Betty) Sarah Dyck will be held Saturday, 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Heritage Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the chapel Saturday from 9:30 to 10am.
