Earlier this week, Christian artist TobyMac alluded to a huge collaboration being released on Friday, and indeed, it surprised everyone when he shared that it was Forrest Frank. 

The new, sped-up version of TobyMac's "Heaven on My Mind," featuring Frank, was released on April 4.

Frank has risen quite fast in the Christian music scene with his first album, California Cowboy, only released in 2023. Frank is currently on tour, headlining, with a wife and child at home. 

Based out of the Toronto area, Canadian Christian singer and songwriter Morrissa Nicole is releasing a new song in time for Easter. 

"I think you get into music the way most believers get into music," says Nicole. "Obviously through church. You're in children's choir, VBS, and teen choir. Church is such a powerful playing ground for discovering your talent. If you want to discover what you're good at, you want to be in church. We're going to shine that light."

After an eight-day trip to the International Space Station turned into 286 days, veteran astronaut Barry "Butch" Wilmore says attending church virtually was vital. 

When Wilmore spoke to media for the first time since returning to Earth, he shared that staying connected virtually to his home church, Providence Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas was "vital." 

After a three-year wait, fans of When Hope Calls will be able to watch the show on Pure Flix and will be introduced to some new characters. 

Canadians, Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell join the cast for Season 2 and are excited for the opportunity. "The opportunity to be a part of a show that has such a very hopeful audience and an audience that's been very loyal and patient, they're just so excited for the show to come out, and they're going to be seeing many new faces along with new faces they'll recognize from the movies and the first season," Busby said. 

Former We The Kingdom lead singer Franni Cash has officially returned to the music scene, this time as a solo artist. 

Cash signed a record deal with Capital Christian Music Group this week, the same label as Chris Tomlin, Anne Wilson, TobyMac, Kari Jobe, Crowder, and other great Christian artists. 

In fall 2023, Cash announced she would be leaving her family band to pursue other opportunities. 

"God has been prompting a change of seasons in my heart, and I will be honoring that," said Cash in a social media post that went up two years ago. 

Singer and songwriter Taya graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry this week. 

This was the former Hillsong United worship leader's debut on the popular stage. 

"Getting to hop in that iconic circle, at the Grand Ole Opry, that has held countless country singer-songwriters is not lost on me," said Taya. "Many stories have been told from that platform, so getting to share some of my own from it is a moment I will never forget."

Brandon Lake is preparing to release a new album, hoping to reach people experiencing brokenness. 

King of Hearts follows up a powerful collaboration of "Hard Fought Hallelujah" alongside Jelly Roll, a country rap artist who calls himself God's least likely messenger.

After almost two decades of caring for people through the Salvation Army, the executive director recently received a medal for his service. 

"Primarily what we do here is emergency and transitional shelters," says Mark Stewart, Executive Director at The Salvation Army's Centre of Hope in Winnipeg. "We're the largest emergency and transitional shelter in Manitoba. At our high points we have just under 500 people a day that are staying in the building. A lot of the work we do is for people falling through the cracks."

Fans of Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ are pleased to hear that after more than two decades, a sequel is set to begin filming this summer. 

According to Variety, the new movie The Resurrection of the Christ will be filmed by Cinecittà Studios in Rome starting this August.
