NFL game ends in prayer after player suffers head Injury

A pair of NFL teams came to a complete standstill recently after a player from one of the teams suffered a serious injury. 

This past Friday, the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons were playing a preseason game when Detroit cornerback Morice Norris, 24, suffered a head injury.

The hit caused Norris to seize and lie motionless for almost 20 minutes. 

Instead of continuing the game, the teams let the clock run out as they gathered in a circle and prayed around the player.

Forrest Frank turns Crowder’s recent injury Into a song of faith and hope

After being tagged in a post by a fellow Christian musician, Forrest Frank has written yet another song. 

This time, his song is dedicated to Crowder, who broke his leg and unwent emergency surgery.

"Apparently, I am the broken bone guy, cause he tagged me in his post," said Forrest in a reel on Instagram. "Not to be cliche, but God is turning lemons into lemonade always, if you will allow him to."

Political heat in Uganda draws concern of Christian educators

Increasing political tension in Uganda’s election season has Christian educators concerned. 

President Yoweri Museveni has held office for nearly 40 years. Ever since he seized power in 1986, Uganda has been “comparatively stable, but increasingly authoritarian,” according to a 2025 report from the U.S.-based Congressional Research Service. Uganda has never had a democratic transition of power.

Manitoba survivors of abuse by former Anglican priest plan healing advocacy council

Survivors of abuse by former Anglican priest and Scout leader Ralph Rowe are working to create a national advocacy and advisory council aimed at promoting men’s healing, the Anglican Journal reports.

Rowe, who served in northern Ontario and in several northern Manitoba communities, was convicted of 75 sexual crimes against children that took place between 1974 and 1987. It is believed that Rowe may have abused up to 500 children during that time.

Forrest Frank back on stage and jumping weeks after spinal fracture

Just three weeks after breaking his back, Forrest Frank was back up on stage, jumping around.

After two weeks of bed rest, Forrest woke up one day and went about his routine without putting on his back brace. Once he realized he was pain-free, he decided to order a new X-ray of his back. 

The updated X-ray showed that his back had completely healed.

"I have complete healing in my back," said Forrest. "I have no fractures in my back. No sign of a fracture."

His first show following his injury was slated for Aug. 7 a the Iowa State Grandstand.

It's been approximately 45 years since the members of the Crossborders Community Project near the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border and the community of Kola, Man., have been raising funds for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.   

Hundreds of thousands of bushels have been harvested through the Crossborders Grow Projects over the decades, dating back to the early 1980s when the Foodgrains Bank officially began, thanks to Don Neufeld and his father, Art, and the call on their lives to support the Foodgrains in the Kola area. 

Irish missionary and child among 9 abducted by gunmen in Haiti

An Irish missionary and eight others were kidnapped from an orphanage compound on Sunday, August 3, including a three-year-old child. Armed gang members stormed the children’s home in Kenscoff, just outside Port-au-Prince, in the early morning hours.

The missionary, Gena Heraty, is known for her decades-long care for children with disabilities. EU officials are working to secure the group’s release.

Release date for Passion of the Christ sequel announced

More than two decades after the original release, Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ sequel is set to be released in two parts. 

Debuting on Good Friday 2027 will be The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One. Then, 40 days later on Ascension Day, part two will be released. 

The Passion of the Christ grossed $370 million in North America after its 2004 debut and over $610 million worldwide.
