Bryan Olesen moves on to The Voice finals
Former Newsboys guitarist Bryan Olesen continues to amaze coaches and fans on The Voice.
Olesen, whose coach is John Legend, received a Playoff Pass early on allowing him to skip weeks of performances and move onto the playoffs.
On Monday, Olesen returned to the stage, where he sang Toto's 'Africa.'
'Disa was an opus': Mandisa's funeral a celebration of life
Brentwood Baptist Church in Tennessee filled with people coming together to celebrate the life of Mandisa.
Mandisa was born on October 2, 1976, in Citrus Heights, California, and passed away in her home in Nashville on April 18, 2024.
Hundreds showed up to the funeral in Brentwood Saturday morning as well as over 11,500 people live-streamed the service online.
Colton Dixon to sing in new feature film
Colton Dixon is bringing his songwriting skills to the big screen as part of Angel Studios, SIGHT.
The former American Idol contestant released the title track of the film, 'Rest Of My Life' on Thursday.
“Sometimes when you write a song, it takes on a life of its own,” shares Dixon in a press release. “After I experienced the film and got to meet Dr. Wang in person, the lyrics and cadence of the song took on a whole new meaning. I can’t wait for this song and the film to impact the world in a powerful way.”

After months of wrestling with the tenets of Christianity, actor and comedian Russell Brand announced he's going to be baptized this weekend.
The St Trinian's actor posted to X to share the news with his followers. "This Sunday, I'm taking the plunge. I'm getting baptized."

American Idol is preparing to honour one of their former contestants following her sudden death last week.
Mandisa, who appeared on season five of the show, in 2005, was found dead in her Nashville home on Thursday, April 18.
American Idol announced they will host a special musical tribute to celebrate her life on Monday, April 29.
Wilson Phillips singer and YouTube evangelist to undergo surgery on leg tumour
Wilson Phillips singer, Chynna Phillips is preparing to undergo surgery on a tumour in her leg.
Phillips, who started a YouTube channel called California Preachin' to evangelize and share her love for Jesus, made the announcement earlier this week in a video called "My Worst Fear Came True."
"I have this surgery coming up," said Phillips. "I have a tumour in my left leg. I have had it in my leg since I was a kid. They don't know if I was born with it. However, it is totally benign."

A dream of his, his entire life, Ravi Adelekan graced the stage of BGT earlier this week to sing a special rendition of 'A Million Dreams.'
"I've watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition for it," said Ravi to judge, Simon Cowell. "Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and I'm here to show you no matter what life throws at you, you can still achieve your dreams."
