Up-and-coming Christian rap artist shines a light on Jesus in Netflix series

Christian rap artist, Mizzy Mitchell announced recently that she will be featured on the second series of the popular Netflix series, Rhythm + Flow.

"This season, It has been a blessing to represent Christ on such an amazing platform," said Mitchell in a post on social media. "Tune in on November 20th to see the start of my new journey."

Smallbone family celebrates release of new book

Monday was a big day for a member of the Smallbone family.

Courtney Smallbone, the wife of Luke of FOR KING + COUNTRY, released her first devotional book, Technicolor Woman.

"I walked in the door from finishing up the tour and got to hold the physical result of her thoughtfulness and hard work," said Luke. "So proud of you sweetie, and honoured to celebrate with you on release day."

Mennonite Collegiate Institute's (MCI) new Principal is well into her first school year in the role.

Londa Backlund joined the faculty in July of this year, and brings an extensive education background including teaching at an independent Christian school in Winnipeg, and her hometown public school in MacGregor.

She has a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, alongside her Education degree from U of M with four teachable subjects including English, Math, Psychology and Religion.

Brandon Lake releases new vulnerable, hard-hitting single

Christian artist Brandon Lake is releasing a new single with soulful lyrics and a bit of rock, called "Hard Fought Hallelujah."

Earlier this year in July Lake released the single "That's Who I Praise," which has been well-received by fans. This new song is also a single with no talk on when a new album may be released. 

Lake won three GMA Dove Awards in October for his 2023 album Coat of Many Colors

'It'll be simply stunning': Artists work on 2,000-sq-ft model foot model of first-century Jerusalem

A team of artists continues to work around the clock on a new and exciting model that will be displayed at the Ark Encounter in Kentucky. 

Once complete, the 2,000-sq-ft model of first-century Jerusalem will consist of 5,000 buildings, 15,000 people and thousands of plants at a 1:100 scale.
