Steven Curtis Chapman officially inducted into Grand Ole Opry

Steven Curtis Chapman has been officially inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.

Chapman, who has 50 No.1 hits, made his Opry debut 42 years ago when he was just 19 years old. At that time, he was a performer at Opryland Theme Park singing the songs of Opry greats including George Jones, Ricky Skaggs and more. 

The five-time Grammy Award and 60-time Dove award-winning Christian artist was recognized at a special event on Nov. 1.

Christian artist Matthew West received a special surprise at one of his recent tour stops. 

A pair of fans who had met West at an earlier concert and had him pray over one of them shared an update on how that prayer impacted their lives.

"I met Lucy and Eddie when I was playing a show in Greenville, SC. They asked me to pray over them as Lucy was diagnosed with cancer and was about to have surgery the next day," said Matthew.

Alberta-born singer Jodie Leslie got her start in music at the age of two, and while that has always been a passion, her life took a different career path for a period of time.

"I went into college taking equine sciences," Leslie says. "So some veterinary courses for horses and training courses, and I ended up finding myself over in Europe riding and training horses and while I was over there I really gained a hunger for being on a worship team, singing with a band."

New development in Angola missionary death after wife arrested, no charges laid

The wife of a missionary recently killed in Africa has been arrested in connection to her husband's death.

44-year-old Beau Shroyer was killed on Oct. 25, 2024, in an act of violence while serving Jesus in a remote area of Angola, Africa.  

Lakes Area Vineyard Church says in a statement they were heartbroken to learn of the turn of events.

Four extraordinary humans, including John the Baptist, on display in new Martin Scorsese series

This month a new docuseries produced by Martin Scorsese will be released, showcasing four saints and how they lived fully for God. 

The TV series, The Saints, will be released in two parts. The first part will showcase four humans, including the well-known John the Baptist and Joan of Arc. Another 'saint' that may be lesser known is Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish Franciscan monk who sacrificed his life in a concentration camp during WWII. The fourth person showcased is Sebastian, a soldier in Rome who defied Emperor Diocletian’s decrees against Christianity.

Kirk Cameron stars in new Bible-based kids show

Actor and outspoken Christian Kirk Cameron is starring in a new kids' show filled with Biblical and wholesome themes. 

The crowdfunded project Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk stars Cameron and his side-kick, an iguana puppet named Iggy. 

"This family-focused, live-action series combines laughter, learning, and biblical values, offering parents and grandparents a trustworthy entertainment option that reflects their values and brings the family together," says the press release.
