Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham releasing documentary in theatres

A documentary about Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham's life on the road, and the faith that follows, is hitting theatres this fall.

For the One captures the moments of Lake and Wickham's Summer Worship Nights Tour on and off stage.

"My hope for this project is that it would not only show what it takes to go on tour, but why the music and touring mean so much to us. Countless lives have been changed, especially ours. Though we’ve had the opportunity to influence many, our focus remains for the One," said Lake.

Anthony Hopkins starring in Netflix film about nativity story

With a unique perspective directly from Mary, the mother of Jesus, a new film is hitting Netflix this winter.

The film, executively produced by pastor, author, and speaker, Joel Osteen, is simply called Mary. It follows the story of Mary and Joseph after their son Jesus is born, as the family flees from King Herod’s deadly pursuit.

Golden Globe award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins portrays King Herod, while Israeli actress Noa Cohen plays the lead as Mary.

Mary Aloe is another producer on the film that was shot in Morocco.

Does AI have a place in the church? Weighing the pros and cons

AI can be a touchy subject, especially when it comes to its place in the church.

Jason Moore author of AI and the Church: A Clear Guide for the Curious and Courageous says AI is neither inherently good nor inherently evil. He says it is a neutral tool capable of achieving remarkable feats when used wisely.

Moore has hands-on experience in the local church, giving him a deep understanding of the concerns ministry leaders and congregants have when introducing new technology such as AI.

Church elder's kindness out of this world

After an astronaut got stuck in space for much longer than expected, two senior citizens from his church received a surprise that was out of this world.

Barry Wilmore, a member and elder of Providence Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas, recently went to space for what should have been a week-long mission.

In June, Wilmore and fellow astronaut Suni Williams were launched into space as the first humans to ride a Boeing Starliner spacecraft. During the launch, the spacecraft had issues with its thrusters, as well as leaking helium.
