Sing '90s throwbacks during this free worship night

Each Sunday, Grant Memorial Church is filled with congregants gathering for a time of worship and this week, there is an extra opportunity in the Throwback Worship Night.

On October 26 at 7 p.m., praise and worship music from the 1990s will be on full display. 

Cassandra Gingerich the music minister at Grant Memorial says, "In fact, I was quite surprised. As we've been chatting with different people, they are just as excited in their 20s as they are in their 50s. It seems everyone knows these songs, so it should be a good night." 

11-year-old girl uses rock music to spread God's goodness

An 11-year-old from Miami, Florida is spreading God's word through her rock inspired music.

Mandy Corrente's latest single 'Not Alone' reminds listeners that God is with them every step of the way.

'They ran to Jesus': Over 100 incarcerated women baptized in Las Vegas maximum security prison

Around 200 women took part in a recent prison revival in Las Vegas.

Best-selling author and speaker, Jennie Allen and the God Behind Bars team, visited the maximum-security women's prison over the weekend. 

"There were 200 women in the room, and all but a few accepted Christ," said Allen. "Not just accepted Christ. They ran to Jesus."

Former Winnipegger Heather Rosen's winding path of finding Jesus and singing for Him

Originally from Winnipeg, Heather Rosen has had quite a career in songwriting and singing. Now living in L.A. with her family, she is giving all her talents to God. 

Rosen was born and raised in Winnipeg, Man. and attended Miles Mac Collegiate. While she grew up going to church, Rosen had never understood the good news of Jesus and what His death and resurrection meant in her life personally. At the age of 16, she officially left the Christian faith and anything to do with it. 

Pastor and foster parent facing 100 child pornography related charges

A pair of cyber tips has led to the arrest of an Arkansas pastor and foster parent who is facing 100 counts of crimes related to child pornography.

43-year-old James Vincent Henry came up on the radar of the Internet Crimes Against Child Task Force after they were alerted last month by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Phil Wickham ends Canadian tour with special French performance

Phil Wickham stepped out of his comfort zone over the weekend as he wrapped up his last tour date in Canada. 

For the first time, Wickham performed a song in French in front of a sold-out concert in Montreal, Quebec Saturday evening.

"A first for me! I sang a song in French at our show in Montreal," said Phil in a post on Instagram. "It was such a beautiful moment to see the Church alive in Canada." 

Healing power of blues: Glenn Kaiser and Robert Andreas share music and faith ▶️

Winnipeg is hosting world-class blues Christian musician Glenn Kaiser alongside Robert Andreas in an evening of gospel blues. 

Glenn Kaiser is a Blues musician from Chicago, IL. He's toured his music all across Canada over his colourful music career. 

"I started playing when I was 12," says Kaiser. "I went through drugs, alcohol, addiction and I got to a place where I did everything but shooting [using needles]. It's a very long story but Jesus showed up in my life in technicolor."

A season of play and purpose: Athletes in Action camps engage over 1,000 kids ▶️

Over 1,000 kids were able to spend part of their summer playing sports while learning about Jesus through Athletes in Action's summer camps. 

Steve Klassen is the regional director of Athletes and Action Youth Initiatives and says that the primary focus was basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
