Double B continues through the weekend
Categories

The summer season has been full of rodeos and festivals this year, and the season isn’t over yet. As the weather starts warming up after a cool week, the Double B Agricultural Festival spurs into action.

Friday’s activities started with a Ferrier demonstration and Grey Cup Trailer starting at 2 p.m. Midway opened Friday evening at 5 p.m.

The Manitoba Highschool Rodeo was cancelled for the evening due to wet grounds; however, the plan is to continue forward with this portion of the event Saturday.

For the rest of the weekend, you can catch tons of activities and shows.

Saturday begins with pancakes, and Highschool rodeo, followed by a parade, chainsaw carving display, and a farmers' market.

With Midway opening at noon, you can go on some insane rides, stop at food trucks and vendors, as well as participate in children's activities such as pony rides, face painting, and a petting zoo.

There will be lots to see, such as Hoop & Hat, Al Simmons, a Fire Truck Display, Bumblebee transformer, and Fireworks at dark. However, the main event is the rodeo starting at 5:30 p.m.

After fireworks, you are invited to the Brokenhead River Community Hall for a party featuring Banned and Outlawed.

A relaxing Sunday morning will start off with breakfast and a car show. Next, you can head over to the farmers market, enjoy the midway, and spend the afternoon at the saloon.

The Rodeo main event will take place at 1:30 p.m. and activities will wrap up at 4 p.m.
