The last peak of whooping cough activity in the province was in 2019, when 1,269 cases were reported, the email said.

It's been a busy start to the week for Carman-Dufferin firefighters

It's been a busy start to the week for Carman-Dufferin fire fighters.

They were just one of several crews who battled a dairy barn blaze in Haywood late Monday morning, logging about 8 hours by the time they cleaned up the arena and returned to the fire hall, noted Deputy Fire Chief Joey McElroy.

Then at 10:45 that evening, they were called back out to a detached garage fire in Carman where they spent another 4 hours putting out the flames.
