Over the last few years, the world has seen and experienced plenty of turmoil and distress, and for many, it can feel like there is no hope.

March is Epilepsy Awareness Month, a great time to raise awareness, challenge myths, and help break the stigma surrounding epilepsy.

Chris Kullman is the president of the board of directors for the Epilepsy and Seizure Association of Manitoba. He says epilepsy can be hard to define sometimes.

There comes a time when every child steps into adulthood and begins making their own choices, which can be challenging for parents after many years of having control.

"Once they turn 18, they become adults. At that point, you have to separate yourself from them," Mary DeMuth explains. "I think that is one of the hardest things to do."

Growing up, acting was not on the radar for Cameron Arnett. God, however, had a different plan.

"I was a pre-med pre-law student in college back in the day and happened to enter a couple of different competitions. I ended up winning, like, 8 out of 10 of them. And it just took me in a different trajectory or totally different arena, which is arts and entertainment."

A Manitoba RCMP officer with one kidney has returned from an adventure that saw him cycle over 600 kilometres in less than a week. 

Ben Harder felt called to organize this event after discovering his friend's son was battling a rare form of kidney disease. This hit close to home for Ben. 

A pastor from North Carolina celebrated his 98th birthday in a very unusual way.

The past few years have been a wild ride for singer, songwriter and worship leader Kristian Stanfill.

Last year, Stanfill shared on social media that he was two years sober.

"I hadn't said anything about this process that I was in, but it got to the point where I was meeting enough people and talking to enough people and realizing that there are many people on this journey or a similar journey, and they feel like they're the only ones on that road," Stanfill explained.
