Make it three wins in a row for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. The Millers broke a 10-10 tie in the bottom of the 9th and defeated Medicine Hat 11-10.
Shortstop Thomas Soto went 3 for 5 with a home run and two RBI for the winners.
The 3 and 3 Millers will host Saskatoon tonight at Ross Wells Park.
In other Western Canadian Baseball League action last night, Regina Red Sox topped Swift Current 10-3 and Fort McMurray beat Weyburn 8-6.

National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration taking place June 20
The City of Moose Jaw, the Moose Jaw Public Library, and the Moose Jaw Centre for Arts and Culture will co-host a National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on June 20.
While National Indigenous Peoples Day is officially observed on June 21, the celebration will be held a day earlier to allow schools to participate.
Over 10,000 people evacuated as wildfires continue to burn
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) estimates between 10,000 and 15,000 people in about 30 communities have been evacuated due to wildfires burning in northern Saskatchewan.
As of Thursday afternoon, there were 27 active fires, bringing the year-to-date total to 246 — well above the five-year average of 138.
Tornadoes' Gibney takes part in CFC Prospect Game
A Peacock Tornadoes football team member has been recognized as one of the top 75 prospects in the country.
In February, cornerback Dax Gibney tried out for the Canadian Football Chat (CFC) Prospect Game at the Yara Center in Moose Jaw, which was one of the many stops on the CFC Evaluation Tour. The selection process featured a professional combine setting, including 40-yard dash, shuttle, vertical, and broad jump events.
Former Estevan Bruin’s case adjourned in Moose Jaw Provincial Court
A former Estevan Bruins player had his case heard in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Tuesday.
Estevan lawyer Kathryn Gilliss appeared by phone on behalf of Mason Strutt.
Strutt is facing one count of sexual assault in Moose Jaw. He is also facing charges in Regina, including uttering threats, assault, animal cruelty, and causing a person to take a noxious substance.
Seeding operations 97 per cent complete provincially
The finish line is in sight for Saskatchewan producers. Seeding operations have made considerable advancements in the province over the past week, now sitting at 97 per cent complete, up from 88 per cent the week prior. This puts the 2025 seeding season on track with the five and 10-year averages of 95 and 96 per cent.
Liberals poised to table bill to knock down internal trade barriers
The Liberal government is poised to table landmark legislation to break down internal trade barriers and increase labour mobility within Canada.
The government has put a bill on the House of Commons notice paper that could potentially be tabled as early as today.
Prime Minister Mark Carney has pledged to break down internal trade barriers by Canada Day to create one economy — although the time left on the parliamentary calendar suggests the legislation will not gain Royal Assent by the time the House rises for the summer.
Years after it was pitched, Canada is still waiting for a national disaster agency
In 2023, as Canada suffered through its worst-ever wildfire season, the federal government was looking at creating a national disaster response agency.
Two years later, the country is again facing another summer of wildfires. There is still no sign of such an agency, though governments are tapping the private sector to help with evacuations.
Ali Asgary, a York University professor of disaster and emergency management, said the work to establish a national agency is "unfortunately … not going as fast as our crises are going."
