According to SaskPower, the outage occurred around 12:39 p.m. and is affecting the following areas:

Moose Jaw could lose up to 10 doctors by year-end, NDP Warns
Saskatchewan NDP Shadow Minister for Rural and Remote Health Jared Clarke spoke outside the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw yesterday, sounding the alarm about burnout, stress and retirements, which he claims is causing an exodus of doctors.
“We've gotten word from doctors in the city that Moose Jaw is set to lose eight doctors this year,” said Clarke.
“Just today there was a suggestion that there might be another two leaving by the end of this year.”
Police to implement voluntary camera registry
A presentation on a voluntary Safe Neighbourhood Camera Registry was given by Forrest Green during the Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners meeting on Wednesday.
Forrest Green is already contracted through the Moose Jaw Police Service to allow residents to apply for criminal record checks online. The service comes at no charge since Moose Jaw is already a client.
Saskatchewan Retro GameCon coming to Moose Jaw
Fans of old-school video games will be coming to Moose Jaw next month for the Saskatchewan Retro GameCon.
This is the first time the convention has been held to celebrate all things pop culture, with a focus on retro video games.
“Our definition of retro games is anything two consoles and back. So, as of now, that’s the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PS3 era,” said organizer Jared Dormer.
Discoloured water? Water main flushing begins Sept. 2
Residents are being advised that the City of Moose Jaw will begin its unidirectional water main flushing program the week of Sept. 2.
The flushing is scheduled for zones 1 and 2 this year. The work is expected to take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 14.

Sask. men’s box lacrosse team remain undefeated
Team Saskatchewan’s men’s box lacrosse team improved their record to 3-0 after a pair of wins yesterday at the Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Nfld.
They opened the day with a 5-3 win over Manitoba. Moose Jaw’s Kashton Smith had two assists in the game.
A key meeting for Canada's canola industry takes place today in Saskatoon
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is meeting in Saskatoon today with Federal Agriculture Minister Heath MacDonald and Cody Blois, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, along with representatives from the canola sector. The focus: responding to China’s steep tariffs on Canadian canola products.
Last week, China announced a 75.8% tariff on Canadian canola seed, adding to the 100% tariffs placed in March on canola meal and oil.

1934-2025
Ernest Henry Bueckert was born on December 12th, 1934 at Parkerview, SK. He was the fifth child of ten, born to David and Susanna Bueckert. His family moved to Tugaske, SK and later to Eyebrow, SK where he lived until moving to Bethany Place in 2005/06. Ernie attended schools in Winfield, Darmoody and Eyebrow, SK where he graduated, and later attended Rosthern Junior College (RJC) Bible School and Swift Current Bible Institute (SCBI).
Sports Round-Up: Thursday, Aug. 21
Team Sask picked up a pair of bronze medals — one in decathlon and the other for three metre springboard diving —yesterday bringing their total medal count to 10: two gold, three silver, and five bronze.
