Operated by Red River College Polytechnic's Centre for Newcomer Integration and funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the Centre offers free part-time English classes to permanent residents and refugees, focusing on language skills essential for daily life, employment, and further education.

In 1971, Grant Tait arrived in Swift Current with just his toolbox and strong work ethic. Given this humble beginning, he couldn’t have known then that he was establishing the foundation for a family business that would thrive into its third generation.

“My dad went down to Beaver Lumber and started unloading cement bags,” reflects Chad Tait. “He ended up getting a job building calf shelters and granary bin floors. Next thing you know, he’s building a house out in Pennant. And that’s how Tait Construction started. Just as simple as being willing to go out and do the job.”

International Women’s Day is March 8th. It’s a day to celebrate the achievements of women around the world. It’s also a day to acknowledge and help women fight violence and abuse against women, fight for gender equality, and fight for women’s rights.

The day at Prairie Dale School starts off on the right foot as students come in from the cold and enjoy a light breakfast, thanks to the “Toast Masters.”  This group, made up of several staff members, supports the school’s nutrition program. In addition to toast, students can enjoy a variety of healthy foods during “Fruit Fridays.”
