Phyllis Barth Obituary

1950 ~ 2024 (age 74)

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Barth announce her passing on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at the age of 74. Beloved sister of Anne Debert, Leona Barth, Linda Sheedy, and Diane Barth.

A Funeral Mass for Phyllis will take place on Saturday, Sept. 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Major, SK with Rev. Father Charles Nweze as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Major Cemetery.

RIDDELL

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isobell Pearl (Diz) Riddell on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, at the age of 89 years. 

Isobell was born in Prince Albert, SK, the middle of 5 siblings, where she went to school, and met and married Gerald (Jack) Riddell.  They lived in Regina, SK during the early years of their marriage before moving to Moose Jaw, SK in 1961, where they lived the rest of their lives and raised 4 children.

The Funeral Service for Evelyn Kitteringham of Swift Current,  will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm from the St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Swift Current.

The Private Family Interment Service for Evelyn Kitteringham will take place at the Mount Pleasant Burial Park in Swift Current.

In memory of Evelyn, donations made to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

It is with great sadness the family of Mr. David Driver announce his passing on August 29, 2024 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Peter Heide, 95, of Winnipeg passed away Tuesday, August 27th at Winnipeg. He is survived by 2 daughters and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Susanne and 1 son. 
The funeral service for Peter Heide will be held Saturday, August 31st at 1pm at Green Acres Funeral Home, 1 Green Acres Lane off Navin Road, with burial at Green Acres Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at Green Acres Funeral Home Friday, August 30th at 7:30pm and prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Date: Private 
Dan Demchenko, 92, of Steinbach passed away Wednesday, August 28th at Resthaven Care Home. He is survived by 3 sons and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Pat.  
Cremation has taken place. 
A private family service for Dan Demchenko will be held.

William “Bill” Alford

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, surrounded by his family, William “Bill” Alford passed away at the age of 79 years. Bill was born on March 13, 1945, son of the late Robert and Mary Alford in Oakville, Manitoba. He resided in Oakville area for the majority of his life, and enjoyed life with his partner Lynne Clark.

Randy Schultz, 58, of Steinbach passed away Sunday, August 25th near Vita. He is survived by his wife Carlanna, 1 daughter, 2 sons, his parents Elmer and Edna Schultz, 1 sister, 2 brothers, and their families.  
A memorial service for Randy Schultz will be held Tuesday, September 3rd at 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with private family ash interment.

Wilfred Harley Pilkington

It is with great sadness that the Pilkington family announces the passing of Wilfred Harley Pilkington, 68, of Portage la Prairie. Wilf passed away on August 27, 2024, at Portage General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Wilf was a beloved husband to Carol for nearly 50 years. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter. He was the proud father of Jason (Angela) Pilkington and Ryan (Candace) Pilkington and a cherished grandfather to Rory and Cohen.

April 12, 1928 – August 23, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Grace Emily McVittie announces her passing on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the age of 96 years.

Grace was full of vitality and never shied away from any task, whether it be driving the community taxi for the “old people” or leading church services at her home parish, St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Gull Lake, SK, both into her 90s. She was a strong, positive, helpful, and loving person right to the very end.
