John C. Penner, 91, of Winnipeg passed away Sunday, March 16th at his residence. He is survived by 1 daughter, 3 sons, 1 sister, 1 brother, 6 in-laws and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, 1 sister, 4 brothers and 1 grandson. 
The celebration of life for John C. Penner will be held Monday, March 24th at 12pm (noon) at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue, with private family interment. 
Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. 

Vern Tourand Obituary

1944 ~ 2025 (age 80)

It is with great sadness the family of Vernon Lawrence Ellis Tourand, 80, are saddened to announce his passing on Saturday March 15th, 2025, from the Kindersley Hospital, Kindersley, SK.

Beloved husband of Irene; loving father of Susan (Gary), Tom, Trevor, and Michelle (Rich); and cherished grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of thirteen.

At Vern's request No Services will be held.

Donald “Butch” Lubiens, late of Regina, SK, passed peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his grandson Kelsey. Don is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan; daughters Kim (John) and Terry (Sunil); son Donnie (Ang); grandchildren Tia, Dylan (Kim), Skye, Kiana (Adrian); Alicia and Sydnee (Ross); Travis (Nicole), Bria, Ben and Calli; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Scott James Pryor on March 18, 2025 at the age of 42 with family by his side.

Predeceased by his grandparents Bill and Dorothy Pryor; grandma Norma Peakman; mother-in-law Lorelei Orr; aunt Joan (Rueben) Acorn, Aunt Jean Marvin; cousin Kevin Acorn and childhood best friend Jeremy Anthony.

It is with heavy hearts the family of Mr. Clark Campbell announce his sudden passing. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Innovation Plex (North Entrance) in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Please wear your favorite jersey as Clark was an avid sports fan.

John R. Friesen, 93, of Steinbach passed away Sunday, March 16th at Resthaven Care Home. He is survived by his wife Tina, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 3 sisters, 1 brother, and their families. He was predeceased by 1 grandson, 2 sisters, 8 brothers-in-law, and 7 sisters-in-law. 
The funeral service for John R. Friesen will be held Sunday, March 23rd at 2pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Heritage Cemetery.

A memorial service for Esther Heinrichs will be held Saturday, March 29th at 2pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Mennonite Memorial Gardens – Sage Creek Cemetery.

Clifford Hunter, 87, of Dominion City formerly of Green Ridge, passed away Wednesday, March 12th at Altona Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife Irene, 1 daughter, 1 son, 1 sister, 1 brother, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Clark and Jean Hunter. 
The funeral service for Clifford Hunter will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 2pm at Green Ridge United Church with burial of the urn at a later date at Green Ridge United Church Cemetery.
